COMMENTS:
I’ve been to almost every Jazz Fest
except for the very first and I’ve come to the conclusion that half the fun
is not the organized events but the impromptu ones that are very much the
essence of the New Orleans spirit. This painting depicts an actual one of these
events that occurred one Jazz Fest night when I was hanging out by Cafe Brazil on
Frenchman Street and this tour bus was stuck in traffic. The passengers which
included the Little Rascals Brass Band got tired of waiting, exited the bus and
began an impromptu concert. What a gas! |
